The orginal 1960 crest was found by long time upper stoney lake cottager Len Minty the son of Gordon Minty. Gordon Minty who in 1960 organized the first mile swim with Bill Lech. The crest design is based on a Wallace Point Mile Swim Crest which Len Minty still has. Len has probably swam this race more then any other person and plans on doing it as long as he is physically able. He has measured distance and it is 2/3rd of a mile but Bil Lech said the by the time the swimmers made it to his dock they had swam a mile. You will find Len on the left side of the juniper island docks for this years Mile Swim which he says is 7' closer to Lech Island.
Good Luck Len and thanks for the crest.
