The Stony Lake Heritage Foundation

Charity Registration 888597283 RR001

The Stony Lake Heritage foundation was established in 1998 to protect the natural and built environment of     Ston(e)y Lake for the benefit of its residents and cottages. Since then, the foundation has raised and distributed over a quarter of a million dollars on a variety of projects to help the enjoyment of those who use -- and love  -- Stony.

The foundation helps other organizations and groups to help Stony. In the recent past, the projects we have supported include water quality testing, shoreline enhancement, preservation of heritage buildings at Juniper Island, environmental studies, the establishment of the Lake Museum, preparation of a formal Lake Plan for Stony and important lake-wide wetland surveys.  The foundation is a registered charity, and donations of $30 or more will receive a receipt for tax purpose. (Charity Registration 888597283 RR001).  The directors will gladly respond to any questions that you may have on foundation.
